The ScaleTHENGlobal Programme welcomes its 15 new participants

After reviewing almost 100 applications, Europe’s 15 most promising emerging companies in the field of urban mobility have been selected as the next participants in the ScaleTHENGlobal Programme, financed by the EIT Urban Mobility. For the next months, they will benefit from financial support, mentoring, coaching, expert workshops, access to local ecosystems, participation at key European events, and services valued at more than €20,000 provided by the programme partners, such as access to the 5GLabBraWo Lab (Brunswick, Germany).

Out of the participating companies, the three startups that present the strongest pilot project during the programme will be selected to perform a pilot in a partner city. These will receive up to €50,000 in funding – from Finance2Move – to be implemented in partner cities such as Barcelona, Hamburg, Munich or Ostrava, which were the selected cities for the 2020 edition of the programme.

Meet the selected startups to participate in the programme:

Raül Feliu, Business Creation Manager at EIT Urban Mobility, states that: “Through ScaleTHENGlobal we seek to boost the growth of startups that revolutionise mobility in our cities according to their needs. ScaleUp Hub has boosted the European urban mobility ecosystem, with an agenda focused on internationalisation and the implementation of 3 pilots during 2020. We must continue to invest in innovation by supporting the best companies”.

Project partners will work with the start-ups to boost them and address Europe’s day-to-day mobility challenges by giving them the possibility to broaden their network of contacts and get in touch with potential investors and key stakeholders from the urban mobility area.

ScaleTHENGlobal is supported by EIT Urban Mobility and is a programme led by CARNET (initiative coordinated by CIT UPC), with the collaboration of PowerHub, Fraunhofer Society for the Advancement of Applied Research, UnternehmerTUM, Technische Universität Braunschweig, Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechnik (NFF), Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg and the City of Hamburg, with the support of Xpreneurs, UnternehmerTUM Digital Hub Mobility, and SpinLab.
