EIT Urban Mobility invites the media to the presentation of the HERO project, an initiative funded by EIT Urban Mobility that has enabled the transformation of a TMB diesel minibus into a hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle.
During the event, the vehicle will be on display for attendees to learn more about its technical features.
The press conference will feature the participation of:
- Tomàs Megía, Head of the Office for the Transformation of Mobility and Automotive Industries (OPTIMA)
- Xavier Flores, CEO of TMB
- Lluïsa Moret, Mayor of Sant Boi and President of the Barcelona Provincial Council
- Martí Massot, Head of the Southern Innovation Hub, EIT Urban Mobility
The HERO project, developed by a consortium including TMB, EVARM, and EKPO, with the support of the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), demonstrates the technical feasibility of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles as a clean and viable energy alternative for heavy passenger and freight transport.
This will be a unique opportunity to learn about the results of this pioneering project and discuss the role of hydrogen in the future of sustainable mobility.
