In just two reporting cycles, its Impact Factor has increased by over 140%, rising from 2.7 to 6.5 in 2026. According to the latest Journal Citation Reports, it is ranked first quartile (Q1) across all three of its subject categories, including:
- Geography: 10th out of 174 journals
- Regional and Urban Planning: 8th out of 58 journals
- Transportation: 10th out of 66 journals
Additionally, the journal’s five-year Impact Factor has now reached 7.4, which highlights the journal’s sustained impact, reach and relevance for urban mobility research.
