- GreenMob is a multimodal journey planner for sustainable travel. It provides a certified CO2 emissions calculator with automatic transport mode recognition integrated into a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform empowering consumers to make informed decisions about their travel choices.

A new initiative is aiming at transforming urban mobility as we know it. Developed by a consortium of European partners, including the Spanish CARNET (Cooperative Automotive Research Network) and Ajutament de Viladecans, the French Instant System, the Italian Wecity, Start Romagna and Comune di Cesena, and the Hungarian Debrecen Exclusive Public Transport Company (DKV), and supported by EIT Urban Mobility an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, GreenMob is a multimodal journey planner for sustainable travel.
The project aims at reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions produced by motorised trips, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly transportation, and increasing sustainability awareness and data. Thanks to a certified CO2 emissions calculator developed by Wecity and integrated into a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform, this user-friendly interface calculates and shows CO2 emissions associated with any city trips.

The GreenMob project will soon be tested in the cities of Viladecans (Spain), Debrecen (Hungary), and Cesena (Italy), with the aim of determining the feasibility and effectiveness of the solution. The testing phase, starting in May 2024, will involve pilot definition and testing, technical adjustments, integration, among other tasks, to be finally ready to go to market by the end of the year with an official presentation event in Debrecen.
