EIT Urban Mobility has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pôle Véhicule du Futur, at the European Mobility Forum in Strasbourg. The agreement solidifies a shared commitment to promoting innovation in sustainable urban mobility in France and Europe and aims to foster closer collaboration between the two organisations, paving the way for cleaner, more efficient, and accessible mobility innovation solutions in Europe.

The MoU between the two entities formalises our intent to collaborate on a series of common objectives, with a focus on innovation, knowledge exchange, sharing expertise, best practices, and research outcomes. Another of our objectives is supporting SMEs and startups in gaining access to new opportunities and scaling up innovative solutions in urban mobility. The signed agreement also strengthens our commitment to reducing carbon emissions, minimising congestion, and fostering green transportation networks across Europe.

This MoU is expected to lead to several tangible outcomes, including creating joint projects, launching pilot programmes in smart mobility technologies, and enhanced support for startups and innovators within the mobility ecosystem. Additionally, it will drive the adoption of green technologies in urban transport, aligning with the European Union’s sustainability targets, particularly in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
