The Systems’ Engineer Officer will support and report to the Head of IT. The primary focus will be to contribute to defining and managing the ecosystem to host a toolset of Cloud Applications, that will enable key functions of EIT Urban Mobility. The role could also be referred as a “Cloud Systems Engineer”. Defining a centralised data structure and integrating the different Cloud Applications will also be a key part of the role. Managing the business continuity policies and measures, including critical data backups, will also be required. The Cloud Engineer Officer is expected too be able to support integrating standard SaaS solutions in the corporate Cloud Ecosystem. The secondary focus will be to support other IT functions of the company.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Setting up, maintaining and optimizing IT architectures using cloud providers like (main technologies used: Microsoft Azure, MS PowerPlatform, Virtual Servers, Google Cloud)
- Migrating and integrating information segregated into the corporate cloud infrastructure.
- Managing security and access of cloud-based systems
- Defining and maintaining ETLs for a new central database in a cloud server
- Ongoing operational administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Organizing the different data sources to build & develop a centralized reporting database (Cloud AWS IaaS – mySQL server)
- Explore new Cloud storage and cloud computing technologies and the relevance for the company
- Technical focal point for company’s yearly data reporting
- Ensure corporate Data consistency
- Customizing SaaS solutions to meet business needs
- Participating in assessments of new IT tools
- Interact frequently with all EIT Urban Mobility Hubs to identify new requirements for the tools
- Automating tasks with RPA solutions or with customized developments
- Testing specific software and hardware configurations
- Supporting the company in different IT needs/support requests that may arise
