EIT Urban Mobility and ID4Mobility, a French cluster specialising in intelligent and sustainable mobility, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Rennes on 2 July, to collaborate on enhancing urban mobility innovations and impact across France.
The signed agreement will grant both organisations access to a broader ecosystem of experts in the mobility sector, including private companies, public entities, and cities. This will help them create and implement new mobility solutions in France and abroad. The goal is to combine the strengths and expertise of both organisations to tackle urban mobility challenges, encourage innovation, and support sustainable transport solutions. A collaboration that will enable the exchange of knowledge, joint projects, and the development of innovative solutions that can be implemented in cities across Europe.
María Paula Caycedo, Head of EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub South, stated: “This partnership with ID4Mobility represents a new step forward in our mission to create more liveable urban spaces. It is a pathway where we both open the door to our ecosystems to amplify their opportunities to respond to the decarbonisation challenges of our European cities and drive European innovation forward.”
Sergio Capitao, General Director of ID4Mobility, added: “We are excited to join forces with EIT Urban Mobility. This collaboration will enable us to combine our expertise with their extensive network and resources that will benefit cities across France and beyond.”
