Rapid Applications for Transport (RAPTOR) is a programme that swiftly creates and tests solutions to the niche urban mobility challenges of cities across Europe. The RAPTOR Expression of Interest (EoI) is now open for cities to join its 2025 cohort.

RAPTOR is challenge-based, matching city urban mobility challenges to innovative solutions from startups and SMEs. Furthermore, RAPTOR is a agile, with awarded startups/SMEs developing and testing the solution in a real-life environment over a 5 month period. As a result, RAPTOR gives cities the opportunity to connect with innovative startups, test the best solutions before investing, and become an innovation leader.

Since 2022, RAPTOR has worked with 36 cities from across 21 countries on a wide variety of city mobility challenges. Challenges range from making public transport more reliable, to monitoring air quality, reverse logistics, and to traffic safety. Similarly, the type of solutions tested have been varied, from secure and universal micro-mobility charging stations, Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platforms, to AI-powered data analytics tools for decision making, and IoT sensors.

In RAPTOR 2024, the cities include Bacău and Brasov (Romania), Brussels Capital Region (Belgium), Fingal Country (Ireland), Ghent (Belgium), Graz (Austria), Helsinki (Finland), Košice (Slovakia), Konya (Turkiye), Las Rozas de Madrid (Spain), Liepāja (Latvia), Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal), and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain).

If you are a city looking for a solution to a niche mobility challenge and are interested in becoming a part of RAPTOR, please complete an EoI form. Expressions of Interest close 15 October 2024.
