This fourth report of EIT Urban Mobility’s Urban Mobility Next series explores solutions and best practices boosting the uptake of micromobility in cities. Central to this report is the question of how to increase user engagement with various forms of micromobility, focusing on multimodal integration and safety as key enablers.

The report, realised with the support of Spin, sums up expert insights collected during a custom mobility workshop. 12 participants from public and private stakeholders across Europe discussed four use cases covering data integration and management, as well as safety performance and innovations of the micromobility sector.

Main recommendations cover data regulations, urban space allocation, training, vehicle homologation, as well as service level agreements and outcome-based objectives to ensure contribution to cities’ public policies.
