2024 SME Market Expansion Call winners announced

13 winners have been selected for the SME Market Expansion Call for 2024. The projects address a range of critical challenges including barriers to e-bike rental systems, reducing car dependency in small towns, and correct parking of micromobility vehicles.

Commencing on 1 June, these projects will continue until December 2024:

1. The Mobile Urban Nano-Hubs project by Don Cicleto, S.L. (Spain) with OVO Sarl (Switzerland): solar-powered cargo bike hubs to reduce congestion and pollution.  

2. MOBY BIKES LTD (Ireland) with Dublin City Council (Ireland): mobile payment bike rental system to simplify e-bike sharing.

3. Inteliports (United Kingdom) with Isle of Wight Council (United Kingdom): autonomous heavy-lift drone logistics with integrated drone ports for enhanced urban delivery.  

4. PARKUNLOAD (Spain) with Area Metropolitana of Barcelona (Spain): digital platform to regulate commuter parking using Bluetooth sensors and public transport integration.

5. Hopper Mobility GmbH (Germany) with Onkokontor GmbH (Germany): secure and temperature-controlled cargo vehicle for sustainable pharmaceutical deliveries.

  6. Reserve & Charge (United Kingdom) with Transport for West Midlands (United Kingdom): EV chargepoint management platform with real-time data and advance reservation capabilities.  

7. TOMATIQ AB (Sweden) with Municipality of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (Czechia): big data-powered public transport solution for smaller towns to reduce car dependency.  

8. SurplusMap (Norway) with Energie 360° (Switzerland): AI to optimize the deployment of EV charging infrastructure in Europe.

9. Coding the Curbs B.V. (Netherlands) with Riga City Council (Latvia): real-time parking availability feature to minimise rogue parking and congestion.  

10. DeepVolt (Tunisia) with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (Türkiye): AI and geospatial data for optimized EV charging infrastructure deployment.  

11. Hyggle (France) with Hympulsion (France): digital tool to optimise hydrogen mobile storage operations.  

12. Sparkpark (Norway) with PM3D S.A. (Poland): precise parking system for micro-mobility vehicles to enhance safety and efficiency.  

13. VivaDrive (Poland) with MOYA (Poland): digital tool to assist businesses in adopting zero-emission vehicles and efficient charging infrastructure.
