17 – 18 June 2025 in Brussels, Belgium at Brussels Expo
EIT Urban Mobility booth, Hall 3, Level 1
EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, will both attend and take part in key panels and judging sessions at Micromobility Europe this year.
As Europe’s leading investor in European mobility startups, Micromobility Europe forms an important part of EIT Urban Mobility’s annual event calendar. From an investment perspective, such a focused event allows for not only scouting, but seeing what is happening in industry closeup. This allows EIT Urban Mobility to continue the trend already set in making highly impactful and increasingly bigger mobility investments.
Looking ahead, EIT Urban Mobility are set to expand to making later-stage investments (Series A) to support more mature startups, in addition to continuing to support those in the early-stage. This means increasing investment tickets to €2 million for stronger backing while strengthening cross-border collaboration and pan-European projects. The goal of which is to build a long-term, network-powered vision for sustainable urban mobility in Europe.
EIT Urban Mobility’s key activities
Peter Vest, Investment & Portfolio Manager at EIT Urban Mobility, is part of a panel discussion entitled ‘What makes Micromobility Investment different?’ taking place on Day 1, 13:55 on the Ride stage. In addition to Peter’s expertise, this panel includes leading voices in European VC and cycling industries.
Emilie Calmettes CPO, Vapaus, is a product & technology leader with 10+ years of experience in the European start-up/scale up ecosystem, most of which with mobility products. Currently, Emilie is leading Product development at Vapaus to create 1M new cyclists.
Gerard Vroomen Co-Founder, Fundracer, has founded several companies in the mobility sector including Cervélo Cycles Inc. Now, Gerard combines industry knowledge, product know-how and customer insight to help Fundracer’s investors and portfolio companies maximise their results.
