EIT Urban Mobility at Major Cities of Europe Conference (MCE 2023)

EIT Urban Mobility will participate in this year edition of the annual conference of the Major Cities of Europe to be held in Prato (Italy), at the “Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art”, from 25 to 27 October 2023, with the support of the Tuscany Region and Confservizi Cispel Toscana.

A Loom With a View – Weaving the digital future of communities, cities, and regions is the motto that links the different themes of the conference. The goal is to explore and discuss the impact of digitization and climate transition in local public administration as well as the impact of emerging technologies: for the development of public services; for physical and IT security; for policies and projects in managing climate transition; and for the development of the new skills required.

EIT Urban Mobility will actively participate in the conference, with:

• A stand in the exhibition area
• A brief video interview to Judith O'Meara, Director of Hub Central, live-streamed during the conference - 25 October
• Presentation of EIT Urban Mobility during the plenary session - 26 October, 12:05-12:20h
• Our workshop in parallel session on the topic "Costs and benefits of the urban mobility transition in European cities" - 26 of October, 12:30-13:05h
• Participation in a roundtable on the topic "The CommEUnity: Communing between cities to unlock the potential of R&D projects" - 26 October, 13:05-13:35h
