EIT Urban Mobility, as lead of the EIT Community New European Bauhaus, invites eligible partners from previous Connect NEB and Co-create NEB projects to submit proposals to the Enhance NEB 2027 Open Call.
Enhance NEB provides funding for previous Connect NEB and Co-create NEB project partners to strengthen, scale or replicate place-based solutions, building on the achievements of their previously funded projects.
Through the Enhance NEB 2027 call, selected teams will have up to 12 months to consolidate their work, expand its impact or adapt successful approaches to new locations, while continuing to collaborate and co-create with communities and relevant stakeholders.
Applications are open until 17 November 2026, 17.00 CET.
About the New European Bauhaus and this call
The New European Bauhaus is an EU initiative supporting the creation of places that are sustainable, inclusive and beautiful.
The EIT Community New European Bauhaus, led by EIT Urban Mobility in collaboration with EIT Food and Climate KIC, supports local actors, initiatives, start-ups and public administrations to co-create and scale NEB-aligned solutions across Europe.
Through the Enhance NEB Open Call 2027, eligible previous Connect NEB and Co-create NEB project partners can take their work further through one or more of three pathways:
Strengthening existing projects by deepening collaboration, consolidating successful approaches and increasing their long-term impact.
Scaling up solutions by expanding partnerships, geographical reach, target groups and overall impact.
Replicating successful approaches in new locations, adapting them to different local contexts and establishing the partnerships needed for implementation.
All proposals must contribute to the three core New European Bauhaus values — Sustainable, Beautiful and Together — and align primarily with one of three thematic areas: Urban Mobility, Food or Climate.
EIT funding allocation
The total estimated EIT funding allocated to this Call is €370,000, with four projects expected to be selected.
Each project may receive up to €92,500 of EIT funding. Proposals must include a minimum co-funding contribution of 20%, as set out in the Call Manual.
Projects may run for a maximum of 12 months, with implementation expected between March 2027 and February 2028.
Who can apply?
Enhance NEB is a multi-beneficiary call open to consortia of 2–4 legal entities, with at least two entities independent of each other.
The Lead Partner must have participated, either as Lead Partner or consortium partner, in an eligible 2025 or 2026 Connect NEB or Co-create NEB project, as listed in Annex 4 of the Call Manual.
The remaining consortium partners do not need to have participated in a previous Connect NEB or Co-create NEB project, meaning new organisations are welcome to join the proposal.
Each consortium must include at least one city or other local or regional public authority, or an entity affiliated with one.
Applicants must be established in eligible countries, as defined in the Call Manual. For full eligibility requirements and special cases, applicants should refer to the Call Manual.

Applications must be submitted through the official EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal (NetSuite) before 17 November 2026, 17:00 CET.
