Designing Better Cities: The Next Era for Sustainable Urban Mobility

Event details

Join us on December 2 in Brussels for “Designing Better Cities: The Next Era for Sustainable Urban Mobility”: a discussion exploring what a sustainable, people-centred mobility ecosystem should look like by 2035.

Across Europe, cities are changing fast. New technologies and economic shifts are reshaping how people live, move, and work, bringing flexibility and convenience, but also new pressures on infrastructure, emissions, and public space. As the European Commission shapes its next policy agenda for cities, now is the moment to rethink urban mobility not just as a climate goal, but as a driver for inclusion, access, and robust urban systems that serve everyone.

We will examine how to close the gap between ambition and reality: from the infrastructure needed to support cleaner transport, to the practical changes that can make sustainable options the most accessible and reliable choice for all urban users.
