The EIT Urban Mobility Summer and Winter Schools help students at different levels to transform urban mobility with innovation and entrepreneurship.
With different schools designed for master and bachelor level learners, our Summer and Winter schools share a common mission: to empower the next generation of leaders in urban mobility with the knowledge, skills and mindset to drive positive change.

Master-level
Urban mobility and healthy ageing – Innovations for a sustainable future Summer School (Lisbon, Portugal and Barcelona, Spain)
The Urban Mobility and Healthy Ageing Summer School aims to equip international master’s students in Urban Mobility with the skills to design, develop, and implement solutions that promote health and functional independence for individuals with reduced mobility or those at risk of mobility decline in urban environments. The entry school will introduce participants to the most relevant topics in ageing, with a focus on functional aspects, particularly intrinsic capacity, and identify the need for solutions to address the impact of ageing on urban mobility. The exit school will then guide participants through the development of these identified solutions, with the support of a mentorship process.

Remaking the street Summer School (Munich, Germany and Rotterdam, the Netherlands)
Remaking the Street is a master-level Summer School focused on transforming urban streetscapes to enhance livability and sustainability. Participants explore innovative approaches to redesigning streets, addressing challenges like reducing car dependency, increasing green spaces, and improving pedestrian and cyclist access. Through hands-on projects, they apply entrepreneurial principles to create people-centered solutions that bring vitality and resilience to Europe’s urban streets.

Smart cities Summer School (Tartu, Estonia and Riga, Latvia)
Smart Cities is a master-level Summer School that empowers students and professionals to develop smart, sustainable mobility solutions through innovation & entrepreneurship. Backed by EIT Urban Mobility, it bridges the knowledge gap, fosters real-world problem-solving, and expands learning opportunities. With challenge-based learning and new university partnerships, we’re shaping the future of liveable, green, and connected cities.

Resilient cities Summer School (Bratislava, Slovakia and Ljubljana, Slovenia)
The Resilient Cities Summer School offers an experience focused on building resilient urban environments. This programme immerses participants in critical topics like health-focused urban design, sustainable transport, and autonomous mobility solutions. Through collaborative workshops, project development, and expert-led sessions, students tackle real-world urban challenges, crafting innovative strategies to enhance the resilience of European cities.

ChargeUp Summer School (Šibenik, Croatia)
The ChargeUp Summer School is a dynamic 5-day programme dedicated to bridging the knowledge gap in e-mobility, empowering future urban mobility professionals with essential skills in EV-related technologies and entrepreneurship. This immersive experience integrates challenge-based courses and study trips, leveraging the expertise of academia, industry leaders, and city stakeholders. Apply by April 20, 2025 and join us in shaping the future of sustainable urban mobility!
This programme welcomes students starting from the bachelor-level all the way up to more advanced students!

CityMinds Summer School (Thessaloniki, Greece)
The CityMinds Summer School is a 5-day training programme designed to equip students with an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking in Smart Urban Mobility. This immersive programme combines real-world mobility challenges, innovative learning methods, and hands-on workshops to develop disruptive solutions for sustainable cities.
Participants will benefit from expert mentorship, networking opportunities, and a ‘from concept to market’ approach, with two prizes (€2,000 & €1,000) awarded for the best project proposals. The programme is free of charge for eligible students from RIS countries, covering travel, accommodation, and per diem costs.
This programme welcomes students starting from the bachelor-level all the way up to more advanced students!

Sustainable mobility in car dependent regions Summer School (Bari, Italy)
The Bari Summer School offers a unique opportunity to explore the challenges and solutions for reducing car dependency and advancing sustainable mobility in urban regions. Taking place from 4 to 12 September 2025 in Bari, Italy, the programme brings together academic researchers, industry experts, and government stakeholders to address topics such as active travel, electric mobility, shared transport systems, and innovative urban logistics.
Tailored tracks for undergraduate students and professionals ensure participants benefit from targeted learning and collaborative teamwork based on real-world business cases. Participants will engage in lectures, panel discussions, and group projects, culminating in presentations to a jury for feedback and career development support.

Budapest Urban Mobility Summer School (Budapest, Hungary)
The Budapest Summer School addresses the growing need for sustainable solutions to urban transportation challenges, such as congestion, pollution, and public space management. Through hands-on, challenge-based learning, participants will work with industry experts and mentors to develop innovative ideas that can improve the quality of life in cities.
The Summer School brings together students from various academic backgrounds, fostering collaboration and real-world problem-solving while focusing on sustainability and entrepreneurship to create impactful solutions.

The Inclusive Mobility Summer School is a master-level Summer school designed to provide a transformative learning journey focused on inclusive urban mobility. Participants dive into the challenges of creating accessible and equitable transport systems, applying entrepreneurial principles to address real-world needs, from physical accessibility to affordability, in cities across Europe.

Urban Innovators Academy Cyprus
The Urban Innovators Academy is a five-day, challenge-based training programme that brings together passionate changemakers to tackle urban mobility challenges and shape the future of sustainable mobility. Hosted in Cyprus from March 15–20, 2025, the Academy is a collaborative initiative between CyprusInno (powered by SocialTech Lab) and Kimitisik, supported by EIT Urban Mobility.

Innov4Mobility Winter School 2025 (Aveiro, Portugal)
The Innov4Mobility Winter School is a 1-week immersive programme designed to solve urban mobility challenges through entrepreneurial innovation. Taking place from March 2 – 6, 2025, in Aveiro, Portugal, the programme brings together students, entrepreneurs, and professionals to develop sustainable solutions alongside city representatives, startups, and industry experts.
