With different schools designed for master and bachelor level learners, our Summer and Winter schools share a common mission: to empower the next generation of leaders in urban mobility with the knowledge, skills and mindset to drive positive change.

Sustainable Mobility in Car Dependent Regions Summer School in Bari

Explore innovative solutions for reducing car dependency in urban regions.

The Sustainable Mobility in Car Dependent Regions Summer School offers a unique opportunity to explore the challenges of car dependency. It focuses on advancing sustainable mobility in urban regions through real-world learning and collaboration.

Taking place from 4 to 12 September 2025 in Bari, Italy, the programme brings together academic researchers, industry experts, and public sector stakeholders. Topics covered include active travel, electric mobility, shared transport systems, and innovative urban logistics.

Participants follow tailored tracks designed for both undergraduate students and professionals. The programme includes targeted learning and collaborative teamwork based on real-world business cases.

Participants engage in lectures, panel discussions, and group projects. The summer school concludes with team presentations to a jury, offering feedback and career development support.

Participants engage in challenge-based learning while exploring emerging trends in smart mobility and connected urban systems. Backed by EIT Urban Mobility, the summer school nurtures future-oriented thinking and strengthens international academic partnerships.

This summer school welcomes international participants. They will be joined by students from the EIT Urban Mobility Master School, creating a rich and interdisciplinary learning environment.

The CityMinds Summer School is a 5-day training programme designed to equip students with an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking in smart urban mobility. This immersive programme combines real-world mobility challenges, innovative learning methods, and hands-on workshops. Together, these elements help participants develop disruptive solutions for sustainable cities.

Participants benefit from expert mentorship, networking opportunities, and a ‘from concept to market’ approach. The programme is free of charge for eligible students from RIS countries. It covers travel, accommodation, and per diem costs to ensure accessibility.
