15 January 2025

By the present procurement procedure, the EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L. hereby being referred to as “EIT UM” is aiming to identify one supplier capable of delivering the following working package: a face-to-face course (online / blended format) on the subject of Urban Placemaking targeting professionals in companies (from the DACH region) having an interest in initiating and managing urban placemaking projects either through their own facilities or by benefitting from such facility as a provider of mobility services.

Training programme design and objectives

The EIT UM is seeking proposals for a face-to-face course, which is mainly synchronous, held either online (involving collaboration and interactivity), in-person, or in a blended format.

The supplier will ensure the scope of the course will provide employees from the urban planning, transport, and facility management sectors with the necessary theoretical knowledge on the subject as well as the practical insights from urban placemaking project implementation.

More specifically the face-to-face course should aim at reaching the following learning objectives:

  • Provide insights into urban placemaking from real-world projects, looking at challenges, solutions and lessons learned.
  • Provide guidance on the implementation of urban placemaking projects.
  • Built knowledge through best practice and academic research.
  • Learn through experience and practice, in particular site visits, meeting practitioners and learning from ‘within companies’.
  • Foster best-practice examples between the participants and teaching staff
  • Create networking opportunities during the course.

Furthermore, the supplier should be able:

  • Propose and deliver an impactful learning methodology adapted to above mentioned objectives.
  • Use/apply the specific working context/environment of the participants (working in the facility management, the transport, and the urban planning sectors).
