Request for proposals: Tailored assessment and training development for startups

17 June 2025

By the present procurement procedure, EIT Urban Mobility, hereinafter being referred to as “EIT UM”, is aiming to identify one supplier (hereinafter being referred to as “Supplier” or “Provider”) capable of providing an assessment of the training needs of startups within the EIT UM ecosystem and, at a later stage, subject to alignment with EIT UM’s training objectives and to EIT UM’s approval, is capable of developing and delivering such training services. The assessment and trainings provided should be impact-driven, action-oriented, and designed to future-proof the business capacities of the participating startups. The ultimate aim is to foster innovation, sustainable growth, and success within the urban mobility sector.

The primary objectives of this engagement are:

  • To conduct a thorough assessment of the individual training needs of each startup, considering their sector, stage of development, and specific goals.
  • To share the results of the assessment with EIT Urban Mobility. Subject to alignment with EIT UM’s training objectives and to EIT UM’s approval, the Provider may then proceed to develop and deliver the agreed training activities.
  • To match startups with world-leading experts, practitioners, and relevant training solutions tailored to their identified needs and sector-specific challenges.
  • To facilitate the design and delivery of customised education and training programs. These programs may be newly created by the Supplier or sourced from existing high-quality offerings.
  • To facilitate access to relevant programs at business schools, universities, and higher education institutions globally, where appropriate and beneficial for the startups.
  • To conduct comprehensive post-training evaluations to assess the impact of the services delivered on each startup’s performance, skills development, and overall growth.

The project will initially focus on a pilot group of six (6) startups operating within the EIT Urban Mobility ecosystem. Each startup will have the opportunity to utilise up to €5,000 as Training Budget for the above-mentioned training activities. The selected Supplier will be reimbursed based on the actual amount each startup spends on the training services, in addition to an operating service fee that should be clearly indicated in the offer. If a startup utilises less than the €5,000 allocated, reimbursement will be for the actual expenditure plus the agreed-upon operating service fee.
