Request for proposals: Social Media Agency

By the present procurement procedure, the EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L. hereby being referred to as “EIT UM” or the “Company” is aiming to identify a social media agency (hereinafter, referred to as “the Contractor” or “Tenderer”) to strengthen our online presence, expand our digital reach, and increase engagement with key audiences.

The scope of collaboration includes:

  • Strategic input to enhance and refine our existing social media strategy.
  • Ongoing performance monitoring, insight-driven optimisation recommendations, and regular reporting.
  • Content proofreading and creative design support for social media posts.
  • Contribution to the development of personal branding strategies for key organisational spokespersons, including the CEO and Directors/Heads of Hubs.
  • Specific support during campaign moments and flagship events, including the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress.

EIT UM currently maintains a robust presence on five major social media platforms, ranked by follower count: LinkedIn (EIT Urban Mobility, +53,000), X (@EITUrbanMob, +5,380), Instagram (@EITUrbanMob, +4,300), Facebook (EIT Urban Mobility, +2,600), and most recently, BlueSky (+170). Additionally, the LinkedIn account of the CEO, Marc Rozendal, is managed by the external communications team, and Directors and Heads of Hubs are encouraged to actively use their personal channels. The social media agency may be requested to support or guide content and strategy development for these personal accounts as part of EIT UM’s broader visibility efforts.

The overall social media communication objectives of EIT Urban Mobility are:

  1. Raising awareness of the need for more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative urban mobility in Europe.
  2. Positioning EIT Urban Mobility as thought leader in the acceleration of the sustainable urban mobility transition.
  3. Generate strategic visibility and leads among targeted stakeholders, particularly those in the European institutional ecosystem.

The main key target audiences of EIT Urban Mobility are, among others:

  • Cities, regions, governments, Ministries, civil servants, etc.
  • Institutional and European networks: European Union bodies, international organisations.
  • Opinion leaders: Think Tanks, universities, researchers, experts, policy analysts.
  • Lobby and civil society organisations.
  • Private sector: Start-ups and industry in the mobility, transport, energy, and environment sector.
  • End users and citizens.

The selected agency will work closely with the external communications team to achieve these specific objectives.
