Request for proposals: Social marketing services for Urban Mobility Explained (UMX)

EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L. (hereinafter referred to as “EIT Urban Mobility”) is initiating this procurement procedure to engage one digital marketing agency (hereinafter referred to as “the Supplier”) capable of managing and supporting the social media goals of Urban Mobility Explained (hereinafter referred to as “UMX”).

The Supplier will:

  1. Manage all aspect of UMX’s paid social campaigns and support it with organic activity (copy writing, assets design etc) for its newly launched Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) LinkedIn showcase page (Work Package 1).
  2. Manage all media spending per (Work Package 2) resulting from Work Package 1.

As presented in the previous chapter, in Spring 2024, the Competence Hub integrated its e-learning platform – Urban Mobility Courses (UMC), along with its applied learning programs and YouTube channel, into a single entity: Urban Mobility Explained (UMX). As part of this rebrand strategy, UMX set up its own LinkedIn Showcase page in May 2024 to leverage LinkedIn to achieve the following goals;

  1. Increased Engagement with UMX Learning Opportunities:
    • Drive awareness and engagement among the urban mobility professional community about the UMX brand and its complete catalogue of learning opportunities, including new and updated courses, videos, blogs, and updates on the latest trends in sustainable urban mobility.
  2. Community Building:
    • Facilitate engagement with learners and its expert community, creating a collaborative space for knowledge sharing and peer support.
  3. Networking:
    • Connect followers with a diverse network of urban mobility professionals, experts, and peers to enhance their professional growth.
  4. Visibility & Branding:
    • Build an active LinkedIn presence to boost UMX’s visibility and establish it as a leading training provider in urban mobility.

Work Package 1

To achieve its LinkedIn goals, UMX seeks a Supplier who can support in expanding its LinkedIn follower base that will help establish UMX as a top-of-mind urban mobility education provider. To achieve this, the Supplier will be required to implement strategic paid campaigns (follower growth and lead generation/course registrations), create engaging LinkedIn organic content and community growth initiatives. The Supplier will be responsible for:

  • Accelerated Growth: Significantly increase UMX’s LinkedIn follower base (currently at 1400 followers) by implementing marketing campaigns and creating organic content aimed at reaching a broader audience and attracting new urban mobility professionals to its platform.
  • Improve Course & Video Engagement: Drive learner registrations, course completions and video views through targeted marketing campaigns (paid) and publishing engaging content (organic).

Work Package 2

The Supplier will support UMX in managing its media spend by:

  • Identifying UMX’s needs in terms of media spend to achieve the goals outlined in Work Package 1.
  • Activating and managing all paid campaigns.
  • Handling the media spend (account and payment management) until 31 December 2025.

Only proposals encompassing both Work Package 1 and Work Package 2 will be taken into consideration.
