Home > Request for proposals: Expansion of learning pathways and skills database for EIT Campus
18 March 2025
By the present procurement procedure, EIT Urban Mobility (hereinafter referred to as “EIT UM”) is we are seeking a vendor (hereinafter referred to as the “Vendor”) to support and advise on the further implementation of EIT Campus learning pathways and the development of our skills database professional support for the provision of server hosting services, by appointing a qualified vendor. This document, along with its annexes, constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by EIT Urban Mobility for the EIT Campus.
EIT Urban Mobility is part of the Strategic Education Cluster, a Cross-KIC pan European project that represents an unprecedented endeavour in the EIT Education Ecosystem to integrate, systematise and leverage education activities from different KICs, create joint offerings and open new opportunities for raising EIT’s profile and for market penetration. Among other things, the Cluster hopes to further connect all KICs’ education offer to the current and future needs of the labour market.
In the context of the Strategic Education Cluster, EIT Urban Mobility is working with other EIT KICs, which combined comprise a network of over 100 universities alongside other key education and non-education players, to develop the EIT Campus. The EIT Campus aims at bringing together the KICs’ education offer into one single platform. While the EIT Campus act as an online shopping window by gathering the hundreds of courses offered by the involved KICs into one single platform, the courses remain hosted on each individual KIC’s learning platform (which range from market leader platforms such as FutureLearn and Coursera, to the KIC´s own Moodle platforms). This means that the EIT Campus is expected to increase traffic to the KICs’ education sites and courses by gathering all the educational offer of the KICs into an attractive platform with a recognisable brand that can – in the near future – open up new markets to otherwise rather topic-specific KICs.
As part of our journey to transform the EIT Campus from a pilot into a fully-fledged product, we are seeking a vendor to support and advise on the further implementation of EIT Campus learning pathways and the development of our skills database. Expanding the learning pathways to incorporate courses from various KICs and learning providers is essential to enhancing the platform’s value, strengthening its connections with labour market demands, and providing more tailored skill-building opportunities. The skills database will play a crucial role in this process, enabling more dynamic and data-driven pathway creation to better serve learners and partners alike.
