Request for proposals: Citizen and user engagement services for city demonstration projects

24 May 2024

As part of its activities, EIT Urban Mobility regularly supports collaborations between cities, startups, and SMEs to co-develop, test, and demonstrate innovative mobility solutions in real-life environments – often referred to as “pilot projects.”

Many of these mobility solutions are intended to be used by citizens – such as local residents, workers, and visitors. In these cases, the solutions are often products or services that enable citizens to engage in more sustainable travel behaviour (for instance, to take public transportation, walk or bike, carpool, etc.).

Thus, it is essential to engage with citizens and other end users to assess the effectiveness of these “pilot projects” to meet their travel needs, and to incorporate their feedback and input to improve the solution and/or its implementation in the local environment.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (hereinafter also referred to as RfP) is to procure services to lead the design and implementation of these citizen and end-user engagement activities for three pilot projects taking place this year and possibly three pilot projects taking place next year – i.e., to raise awareness, gather feedback and to test and evaluate the urban mobility solutions from a citizen and end user perspective.

It is anticipated that organisations with specialisations in urban mobility, citizen engagement, user testing, interaction design, and/or start-up support services may be interested in responding to this RfP.
