Request for proposals: Acceleration services provider for the New European Bauhaus Catalyser

By the present procurement procedure, the EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L.U. (hereby being referred to as “EIT UM” or the “Company”) is aiming to identify a provider (hereinafter, referred to as “the Contractor” or “Tenderer”) to provide acceleration services within the EIT Community New European Bauhaus initiative (hereinafter NEB). The service provider will have to deliver training packages for a total of 28 startups on business aspects, peer-to-peer learning and include an initial start-up assessment and final feedback methodology.

NEB Catalyser – Strategic focus and Programme structure

The NEB Catalyser is set to curate a cohort of 28 startups in 2024 that seamlessly incorporate the three core values of the NEB into their day-to-day operations, products, and services. The training program is designed around three key pillars: Business, NEB & Communication, and will feature a blend of group sessions and one-to-one mentoring under each of these pillars.

Starting on April 15th and extending through November 2024, the program will feature one group session per week. The sessions will address all three key pillars and incorporating peer-to-peer learning —excluding August, designated as a session-free month. Additionally, each participating startup will benefit from the guidance of two mentors, offering a total of 48 hours of mentoring per startup (24h from each mentor). One mentor will concentrate on business-related aspects, while the other will emphasize the integration of NEB values.

Culminating in a demo day at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona, the program aims to showcase the progress and accomplishments of the participating startups, in order to get new stakeholders or investment.

Objectives of the proposal

The design and development responsibilities of the program are distributed among the four KICs actively participating in the initiative. EIT Urban Mobility is responsible for the design and delivery of three key tasks:

  1. Initial and final assessment of each startup and the entire acceleration programme, along with improvements proposals for 2025;
  2. Lessons that have a focus on business aspects;
  3. Peer-to-peer learning sessions.

EIT Urban Mobility requests support to the above-mentioned tasks within the NEB Catalyser programme.
