Rethink your ride in Stuttgart

Promoting electric micromobility uptake with safe fast charging facilities at event venues

Project summary

The region of Stuttgart hosts many major events throughout the year. Most visitors come to events by car or on overcrowded public transport (if available). Congestion caused by large events can create safety risks for drivers, pedestrians, and other road users. Large events can also have a significant environmental impact. If people are offered a broader range of transportation options when attending large events, they will be less inclined to use private vehicles. This will relieve congestion, improve safety, and bring environmental benefits.

Lokit’s compact and versatile micromobility charging stations will provide fast charging and a convenient solution to optimise space in crowded urban areas. The charging stations offer a safe way to store bicycles and scooters, and the app provides a fast, easy way to search for parking and book a space.

As part of the project, four Lokit Wallbox S1 charging stations will be installed at the Stuttgart festival Cannstatter Volksfest.
