Fleet IQ

Enhancing ridership and revenue of shared mobility services

Project summary

Fleet IQ is designed for operators of shared mobility services, including bikes, cargo bikes, scooters, mopeds and cars.

Fleet IQ aims to boost ridership and revenue for shared mobility services by analysing historical and external data (e.g. weather, public transport incidents, car traffic and events). It predicts local demand, supply and competition at a granular level (e.g. city blocks), so that operators can optimise their fleet deployment, rebalancing and pricing strategies. This results in more efficient operations and improved service availability. By automating critical decisions, FleetIQ enables seamless fleet management across any city. Integrated via an application programming interface (API), its tools deliver immediate impact, optimising ridership while reducing inefficiencies in operational tasks like battery swaps and pickups.

Project start:

1 April 2025

Project end:

31 October 2025

Budget:

€59,500

Context

Fleet IQ addresses low vehicle utilisation in shared mobility: 40% of vehicles average fewer than two trips/day, which hurts profitability and service efficiency in cities.

Challenge

Fleet IQ forecasts local demand and competition, so that operators can deploy vehicles efficiently, rebalance smartly and possibly adjust pricing to boost usage, revenue and operational performance.

Expected outcome

The project is expected to generate €75,000-100,000 in new revenue for Fluctuo and significantly improve Dott-Tier’s operational efficiency through smarter, data-driven fleet management.
