Data-driven city logistics in Barcelona

Data-driven insights for city logistics

Project summary

The Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) faces several challenges in maximising the potential of its app, SPRO, due to the large volume of complex data collected on loading/unloading zones. It also needs to ensure that the data collected, such as personal information or business-critical data, remains private and secure. The AMB needs to invest in the right technology and infrastructure to support the use of data collection through its app. This includes data storage and processing capabilities, as well as tools for data visualisation and analysis.

Kentyou’s EyeDecide is a holistic data platform, combining AI analytics and a visualisation tool to streamline data management. It unifies data and ensures privacy while offering data-driven insights. It provides an overview of freight activities via a customisable dashboard, showing statistics on, for example, the number of operations, their duration, and the average duration of parking or illegal parking.

As part of the project pilot, Kentyou will successfully integrate the data from SPRO into their EyeDecide solution and defined use case scenarios. These use case scenarios will then be tested, validated, and refined based on end user feedback. Data can be used to compare the nine areas within the AMB. New or existing projects can be introduced to the platform to be monitored against KPIs.
