Join Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress 2025: Two studies on bike-sharing and commuter behaviour to be presented

29 October 2025

4 to 6 November, 2025
Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain

Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress (TMWC), co-organised by Fira de Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, returns for its fifth edition. Under the theme “Move Better,” this year’s event will convene over 200 international experts to explore how cities can accelerate the transition toward cleaner, smarter, and more connected mobility systems.

Among the leading speakers are David Zipper, Senior Fellow at the MIT Mobility Initiative, and Jari Kauppila, Head of the Secretary-General’s Office at the International Transport Forum (ITF). The programme will also feature policymakers and innovators such as Pierfrancesco Maran (Member of the European Parliament), Arianna Censi (Deputy Mayor for Mobility, City of Milan), and Matt Hale (Deputy Mayor, City of Los Angeles).

EIT Urban Mobility will also present two new studies: one quantifying the return on investment of bike-sharing schemes across Europe, and another examining behavioural factors that influence commuter choices. The research highlights how shared mobility delivers economic, social, and environmental benefits while revealing how insights from behavioural science can help drive more sustainable commuting habits. ITF, will unveil a new report, supported by the Korean Transport Ministry and EIT Urban Mobility, that aims to provide a structured, evidence-based understanding of how higher-speed urban suburban rail systems are planned, implemented, and operated across diverse metropolitan contexts.
