Workshop on the future of autonomous vehicles

Event details

EIT Urban Mobility Academy organises a participatory workshop to discuss the future of autonomous vehicles (AV) for passenger transport. Our workshop participants are a diverse group including Innovation Hub partners, Doctoral Training Network candidates and other external and internal AV experts, who will contribute their insights from academia as well as the public and private sector to the discussion.

Using the methodology of sequential backcasting in the workshop, we will discuss the opportunities, challenges and market needs for future large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles. We will invite the participants to debate the current situation and possible future scenarios for autonomous mobility and, going from there, we will identify concrete leverage points and market needs in the emerging autonomous mobility ecosystem.

The workshop serves as first step in a strategic venture-building process and aims to identify future opportunities for startups to contribute to the emerging value network for autonomous passenger transport.

EIT Urban Mobility Academy plans further workshops tackling other priority domains. We will share more information on future workshops soon.

The workshop will be held online, on 2 July 2026, 14.00-17.00 CEST.

Please note that the participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
