Smart Country Convention 2024

Germany’s leading event for the digital transformation of the public sector, the Smart Country Convention 2024 (SCCON), will take place in Berlin from 15 to 17 October 2024. EIT Urban Mobility will have an active role in this year's edition, with:

• • Our CEO Maria Tsavachidis participating in the panel 'Innovative Technologies for the Mobility Transition: Autonomous Driving and Digitalization in Urban and Rural Areas' on 15 October (13:00 - 13:45 CET), together with Thomas Drewes, Head of Autonomous Driving at Deutsche Bahn.

• • EIT Urban Mobility’s session on ‘Data empowering sustainable mobility in our cities’ on 15 October (16:30- 17:30 CET), which will be moderated by Judith O'Meara, Director of Innovation Hub Central. This session will highlight best practices in utilising data to create more sustainable urban mobility. Co-organised with Mobility Data Space (MDS), the session will feature key insights from various sectors, including Kilian Maier, Stakeholder Manager at MDS; Anna-Lena Sohl, Head of Market Access DACH at Vianova; and Dr. Patrick Dittmer, Advisor at Behörde für Verkehr und Mobilitätswende (City of Hamburg).
