Smart Cities 2024: Urban Mobility course

Event details

[EVENT IN SPANISH]

Cities are at the epicentre of socio-economic and environmental transformation, requiring technological support to address these challenges. Smart Cities are presented as catalysts for this transformation, using technology, data, and Artificial Intelligence to drive the digital transition.

Urban mobility stands out as a key service, facilitating citizen interaction and playing an essential role in social development. Large corporations find opportunities for transformative services and new business models in the new urban mobility. In addition to the traditional challenges of terrestrial mobility, air mobility is emerging as a revolution, using urban public space to transport goods and passengers, extending its possibilities beyond initial emergencies and security.

To stay ahead of the latest innovations and opportunities, the course 'Smart Cities 2024: Urban Mobility' developed by Instituto Atlantico de Gobierno in collaboration with Mapfre will be held in Spanish next 20,21, and 22 with the participation of EIT Urban Mobility.

AGENDA OF THE FIRST DAY OF THE COURSE

The first day is focused on new mobility and traffic management, with keynote speakers, city mobility managers, and experts in new vehicles and intelligent traffic management. It will combine lectures with the application of case studies.

Emerging technologies, such as electric mobility, autonomous vehicles, and intelligent transportation systems, transform how people move in urban environments. Energy efficiency, vehicle congestion, and improving air quality are key objectives. In the future, further integration of urban air mobility, as well as significant advances in connectivity between different modes of transport, are expected. Real-time data-driven traffic management and the implementation of sustainable mobility solutions will be essential to address urbanisation challenges and improve the quality of life in smart cities.
