EIT Urban Mobility is taking part in the sixth annual New Mobility Congress, which brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of transport and sustainable mobility.
The New Mobility Congress is the largest conference and expo in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to sustainable transport development. This year’s edition will focus on the evolving market and regulatory landscape, particularly the increasing targets for reducing emissions from cars and vans. The congress will serve as a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop solutions to help the CEE region transition towards greater sustainability. Furthermore, it will place particular emphasis on economic growth, reindustrialisation, and decarbonisation.
Event highlights and key themes
Organisers expect the congress to attract over 9,000 participants, including representatives from the European Commission, central and local governments, and global leaders in the mobility industry. In particular, the three-day event will feature 250 exhibitors and 400 speakers, who will take part in 180 debates, workshops, and presentations.
This year’s edition of the New Mobility Congress will centre on key themes, with a strong emphasis on Clean Transport and Urban Innovation. These topics highlight the growing importance of sustainable mobility solutions and the integration of smart technologies in urban planning to create more efficient, eco-friendly cities. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to explore Smart City Pavilions, which will showcase the latest technologies and solutions for sustainable urban development.
EIT Urban Mobility played an active role in last year’s congress, hosting a booth and leading a discussion on enhancing battery circularity. The session highlighted the urgent need for sustainable battery management in the expanding e-mobility sector.
Organisers
The New Mobility Congress is held annually and organised by the Polish New Mobility Association, the leading industry organisation driving the development of the e-mobility and hydrogen technology sectors in Poland and across the CEE region. This year’s edition will take place in Katowice.
