With the theme “It’s All About Mobility,” IAA Mobility 2025 will once again transform the city of Munich into a unique central hub for mobility, sustainability and technological innovation. From 9 – 14 September 2025, numerous international exhibitor and key players from the mobility industry will come together to showcase, experience and discuss about groundbreaking mobility trends. The IAA Summit and IAA Conference offer a venue idea exchange for professionals and experts (B2B and B2ESG). Meanwhile, the Open Space IAA Experience in downtown Munich will serve as a forum for discussing future mobility concepts and stages for experiencing new technologies (B2C).
EIT Urban Mobility will actively take part in the following activities during the event:
- EIT Urban Mobility session ”The future of parking: Rethinking urban space” (Yellow Forum – Messe München, Wednesday 10/09 10-10:45h). Public space in cities is highly contested, with numerous competing demands — and parking remains one of the most debated. In this session, we will explore mobility planning practices and data-driven solutions that support more efficient and sustainable allocation of urban space. The discussion will highlight how cities can rethink parking and mobility infrastructure to better serve broader societal, environmental, and accessibility goals.

The session will explore the pivotal role of data in integrating autonomous vehicles (AVs) into Europe’s urban mobility ecosystems. We will examine how data collection, sharing and governance can drive efficient, safe, and equitable deployment of AVs. The discussion will highlight best practices in data-driven policy making, cross-sector collaboration and the development of smart infrastructure, as well as on how to access data of previous pilots and testing of automated mobility across Europe. Attendees will gain insights into the challenges and opportunities of using real-time and predictive data to optimise traffic flow, ensure regulatory compliance and support sustainable urban mobility strategies.
