Join the in person workshop to develop visions, impact pathways and major milestones in the transformation of future Sustainable Urban Food Logistics.
What does sustainable food logistics look like? And what are the risks and opportunities?
We are not entirely sure; however, we believe that the answer to this question requires input from people working across various sectors including logistics and mobility, urban development, food production and supply, and circular systems, to name a few.
The workshop is a part of the H22 City Expo Helsingborg programme and it will take place on Tuesday 31 May in Mindpark Helsingborg from 12:30 – 17:00.
Background
H22 is a major initiative by the City of Helsingborg in Sweden to develop future welfare solutions aimed at improving the quality of life in a smarter, more sustainable city.
The workshop on future Sustainable Urban Food Logistics is one of the official H22 expo activities at the same time builds on a Cross-KIC Scenario workshop held at the LaFutura 2020. During this event Urban Food Logistics was identified as a boundary-spanning system transformation perspective with cross-over actions needed within future Urban Development, Food production, Circular Systems, Mobility and Logistics.
Intended outcomes of the workshop
Before the workshop
From 10:00 - 12:00, join us on an exciting visit to the DM (Do More) site at Drottninghög, Helsingborg, IKEA’s new venture to create a home outside the four walls. DM is creating a new meeting and market place where people can eat, drink, dance, play and connect. The company is engaging with the local community and building vertical farming and glasshouses, and a new markethall to support small producers. DM is accessible by express bus from Helsingborg central train station.
After the workshop
We invite all participants to engage with the H22 high-level panel discussion taking place at the stage of Urban Brilliance at 18:00. Urban Brilliance is kicking off H22 City Expo with four days of ground breaking innovations from cities around the world – all aimed at improving life in smart and sustainable cities. At Hamntorget square in the heart of Helsingborg, you can explore, test, and even help develop the very latest in smart city solutions. After that session you will have lots of opportunities to explore the various activities taking place at H22 during the evening and the following days.
