Folkemødet 2024: Sustainable mobility and climate-neutral cities by 2030

Event details

Copenhagen and other Nordic cities, like cities all over the world, are struggling to reduce emissions from the mobility and transport sector. In a time of noticeable climate change and wild weather events, the need for cross-border solutions seems more necessary than ever. In the Øresund region, Copenhagen, Malmö, Helsingborg and Lund are all part of the EU's ambitious "100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030" mission, which is meant to show the way for the rest of Europe's cities. But 2030 is approaching as fast as climate change, and if our cities are to transform their mobility and transport systems at lightning speed, much more collaboration is needed, between cities as well as between public and private actors. In a big year for Danish transport and climate policy, where the Transport Ministry's Expert Committee on Collective Mobility looks to success stories from Skåne and the time seems right for action, join us for a panel debate about the climate-neutral cities of the future during Folkemødet 2024.
