EIT Urban Mobility will be attending ChangeNOW 2025, the world expo of solutions for the planet, on 24, 25, 26 April at the Grand Palais in Paris.

At the midway point of the 2020-2030 decade for decisive climate action, and echoing the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, ChangeNOW 2025 gathers 1,000 groundbreaking solutions and visionary leaders in a spectacular showcase to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable world.

Revolution on the move: how public transport innovation can combat climate change

Climate change presents significant challenges to mobility. To meet the goals of the European Green Deal, Europe will require €1.5 trillion in investments in sustainable mobility by 2050. According to the EIT Urban Mobility report “Costs & Benefits of the Urban Mobility Transition,” public transport is the most cost-effective method of decreasing urban emissions.

This panel will discuss how innovations in public transport can help achieve the EU’s target of reducing emissions by 55% by 2030.
