The Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) is a leading hybrid B2B event that brings together innovation and business across seven key sectors shaping the new economy: Aviation, Digital Industry, Mobility, Sustainability, Talent, Health, and Experience.
BNEW 2025 will once again serve as a dynamic platform for thought leadership, networking, and cross-sector collaboration, both onsite and online.
EIT Urban Mobility at BNEW 2025
We’re excited to take part in the Mobility vertical. EIT Urban Mobility will moderate two expert roundtables on key emerging topics, including urban data spaces.
BSOCIETY5.0 | Society 5.0 and Smart Mobility – Towards a connected and people-centred Future
30 Sept 12.00 (CET)
Urban mobility is no longer limited to transporting people from one point to another: it has become a key lever for building healthier, more inclusive and sustainable cities. In the context of Society 5.0 —where digital transformation is geared towards social well-being— mobility systems must evolve to prioritise not only efficiency, but also equity, safety and quality of life.
This session will address how smart technologies, new business models and inclusive design are transforming urban mobility to put people at the centre. From shared micro-mobility services and AI-based planning tools to sustainable urban logistics and accessible infrastructure, companies and public administrations are redefining how our cities move — and for whom.

BDATAMOVE | Data Ecosystems for sustainable mobility. The case of the M3 project
30 Sept 14.00 (CET) (session in Spanish)
Today, cities generate enormous volumes of mobility-related data from multiple sources such as urban sensors, mobile applications, transport operators and digital platforms. However, much of this information remains fragmented or underutilised, without being effectively integrated into planning and decision-making processes. This session will address the construction of data ecosystems (dataspaces) for sustainable mobility as collaborative environments that enable data to be shared, governed and interoperated between different actors securely and efficiently.
The M3 project will demonstrate how a data-driven approach can transform urban mobility management. The session will include the presentation of two case studies illustrating the concrete application of the M3 data ecosystem in real contexts, showing how predictive models, integrated analyses and more effective policies can be generated from previously unused data.
The discussion will be aimed at urban professionals, public officials, technology companies and academics interested in the transition to more innovative and more sustainable cities.
