Call Results & Statistics 2023

EIT Urban Mobility launched 14 Calls for Proposals in 2023 across various thematic areas including Innovation, Academy, Impact Ventures, Ecosystem, RIS, Market Development and EIT Community New European Bauhaus, and covering different types of calls (7 open calls, 4 calls for partners, 3 permanently open calls). 

The overall purpose of these calls was to resolve societal, technical, educational and operational challenges facing European cities by foresting knowledge, collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship activities as well as to create new business opportunities able to accelerate the urban mobility sustainable transition and transform public spaces to create sustainable mobility for liveable urban spaces for all citizens.

SMEs and start-ups, industry, cities and regions, higher education and research organisations, NGOs as well as students from European Member States and Horizon Europe Associated countries were invited to submit their proposals to support the development of innovative solutions and activities in the areas of education and training, capacity building, agile innovation, sustainable city logistics, energy and mobility, and future mobility, to name a few. 

The number of proposals received varied across the different calls. Overall, 630 proposals were submitted, and 99 projects were selected, involving 166 organisations from 29 EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries, requesting a total of 11 670 708 EUR of EIT UM funding and representing an overall average success rate of 16% across the different thematic areas.
