Has your startup found the perfect solution to make city logistics more sustainable? Are you ready to scale up your company and test your solution in cities across Europe? The Sustainable City Logistics Accelerator is an international six-month accelerator programme for startups who are ready to scale up internationally and access a unique network of the leading deep tech startup accelerators across Europe.

In the Sustainable City Logistics Accelerator, your startup will get ready to kick off sales in international markets. You will get one-to-one business coaching, mentoring, and workshops. The programme offers city match-making to test your solution and facilitates an introduction to test and demonstration labs around Europe.

Is your startup facing the challenges of creating more sustainable freight and goods transportation in cities and overall sustainability in city logistics? Then this six-month online programme is your chance to get real product-market fit and enter international markets faster.

Eligibility criteria

  • Scalable solution related to sustainable city logistics
  • Less than € 1 million revenue to date (accumulated over startup lifetime)
  • Startups must be incorporated in EU or Horizon Europe-associated countries. The registration certificate will be required to participate in the programme. No more than max. 5% of your shares are held outside the eligible EU or EU associated countries (no detailed cap table needed)
  • A team with a least 2 FTE (not a single founder): minimum 1 team member pursuing the startup fulltime (not necessary connected to monetary compensation)
  • Founders and employees (e.g., ESOP) should still own more than 70% of shares

How do I apply to the Accelerator programme?

Click here.
You will get redirected to the application platform of EIT Urban Mobility.

You will need to register and validate your account if this is your first time accessing the platform. If you have already created an account, you will need to log in.

Once logged in it is as easy as starting a new application and selecting the programme.
During your application you will have to fill in all compulsory fields.

You can save and edit your application until the deadline. Make sure to submit your application before the call is closed.

What Partner will my startup join for the Accelerator programme?

Startups accepted to the program will be assigned to
either UnternehmerTUM (Munich), TUM (Munich), Futurebox (Copenhagen) or Polihub
(Milan). If you have specific wishes regarding which partner to be assigned,
please indicate that in your application.

Which type of acceleration services does each Partner offer?

The acceleration services offered by the Partners are:

Am I eligible for the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator programme and what are the criteria for startup selection?

To participate in the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator programme you need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Scalable solution related to sustainable city logistics

Who will pay for the transportation expenses when attending the meetings in Munich? (Kick off, etc)

Each participating startup will receive a travel grant of €2.500 per trip to cover travel expenses.

Who decides which city our startup gets a co-working space in?

This will be decided in dialogue with each individual participant for whom the wish and need is there.

Do we need a patent to participate?

No, just a novel scalable solution.

Who are the mentors that will participate?

The mentors are found in the existing mentor networks for UnternehmerTUM, Polihub and Futurebox.
