How can Germany and Europe move from autonomous driving pilots to real-world deployment? The Munich Summit on Autonomous Driving brings together 400 policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, startups and mobility stakeholders to explore the opportunities and challenges of autonomous mobility.
Autonomous driving is moving beyond experimentation towards real-world deployment. As the United States and China advance their autonomous mobility systems, Germany and Europe face a strategic choice: develop and operate the technologies, platforms and business models of the future or risk becoming dependent on others.
From global competition to practical implementation
As co-organiser, EIT Urban Mobility contributes to the programme with a keynote by CEO Marc Rozendal on Europe’s position in the global race for autonomous mobility, followed by a strategic forum hosted by EIT Urban Mobility: The State of Autonomous Mobility in Europe.
The forum will examine Europe’s progress towards commercial-scale deployment, covering regulatory developments, city deployments, industry partnerships and EU initiatives. Together with representatives from industry and the mobility sector, participants will discuss the barriers to scaling autonomous mobility, opportunities for cross-border collaboration and the actions needed to strengthen European technologies and innovation ecosystems.
The event also marks the official opening of the Munich project site of the German Centre for Future Mobility (Deutsches Zentrum Mobilität der Zukunft, DZM München), bringing together regional expertise and partners to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous mobility.
The event will be held in German and the registration is limited.
