EIT Urban Mobility will once again collaborate with SIL, this time curating and moderating a session on Smart Cities and last-mile logistics: technologies redefining urban mobility. The discussion will explore how Smart Cities are driving a major transformation in last-mile delivery, where sustainability, efficiency and digitalisation are becoming central pillars.
The session will focus on key enabling technologies such as fleet electrification, automation and the use of artificial intelligence to optimise logistics operations. It will also assess their level of maturity, real-world impact, and the conditions needed for large-scale deployment in urban environments.
Bringing together strategic insight and hands-on experience, the debate aims to identify which solutions are already delivering results and how they can be effectively integrated into the urban mobility ecosystem.
The session will be moderated by Alberto Ratti on 3 June at 12:00 (50 minutes), as part of SIL 2026.
