Are you the kind of person who complains about public transport in Thessaloniki and thinks you could design a better system?  

Join the Thessaloniki Public Transport 2.0 Hackathon and turn your ideas into real solutions for the city. In two days, you’ll work in a team, get support from mentors and relevant professionals, and pitch your concept directly to a jury connected to Thessaloniki’s transport ecosystem.

The Transport Authority of Thessaloniki (TheTA), together with the E-MED project and with support from EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, invites you to register for the Thessaloniki Public Transport 2.0 Hackathon, a two-day event taking place on 14–15 March 2026 at the Olympic Museum of Thessaloniki.

During the hackathon, participants will work in teams, receive guidance from mentors and relevant professionals, and pitch their proposals directly to a jury connected to Thessaloniki’s transport ecosystem.

No coding experience necessary.

Each challenge will have a winner team who will receive an award of €1,500. Register now!
