By the present procurement procedure, EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub West B.V. (, hereinafter being referred to as “EIT UM”, is seeking professional support for strengthening its presence in Belgium, by appointing a qualified service provider hereinafter being referred to as ‘the contractor’. This document, along with its annexes, constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by EIT Urban Mobility for a potential procurement of services in the field of stakeholder engagement, event coordination and ecosystem development.
EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub West seeks to reinforce and further develop its strategic positioning in Belgium over the period 2026–2028. This will be achieved through targeted participation in, and where appropriate co-organisation of, leading events, conferences, and knowledge-exchange initiatives relevant to the sustainable urban mobility transition.
Belgium represents a key ecosystem within EIT Urban Mobility’s wider European network, bringing together cities, public authorities, industry actors, research organisations, and innovation intermediaries. Strengthening engagement within this ecosystem is considered instrumental to EIT Urban Mobility’s mission to accelerate the transition towards sustainable, inclusive, and efficient urban mobility solutions.
The overall objective of this assignment is to support EIT Urban Mobility in strengthening its visibility, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership within the Belgian urban mobility and smart city ecosystem.
In particular, through participation in or co-organisation of maximum three (3) targeted events, the assignment aims to:
The services under this RFP shall be delivered in close cooperation with EIT Urban Mobility and implemented by a local partner with a demonstrated track record in future-oriented innovation processes, stakeholder engagement, and event facilitation within the Belgian mobility and urban innovation landscape.
