Arxax is a business-to-business (B2B) tech startup, building the next-generation, digitally connected network of zero, low-carbon refuelling assets strategically located across main European transportation corridors, to fulfil the unique green transition requirements of heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). We are disrupting the fuel card market by deploying the power of big data to secure the viability of alternative refuelling assets, through establishing real-time internet of things (IoT) connectivity between trucks and refuelling stations.

Road transport contributes 78% of European transport emissions, emitting 52.0 gCO2/tkm in 2020 (International Council on Clean Transportation, 2023). European climate regulations mandate a 45% reduction in road transport emissions in six years, and 90% by 2040. Transition has been slow, costly and inefficient due to high infrastructure costs, logistical challenges, demand uncertainties and limited market access. These obstacles hinder operational efficiency and compliance with environmental rules, jeopardising the sector’s economic sustainability. Arxax validated its market research via data triangulation, expert review, scenario analysis and regulatory insight. Crucially, extensive research on the decarbonisation potential of the Autostrada Del Brennero, a crucial European corridor with over 2.5 million trucks annually, highlights its significant environmental impact on nearby urban communities.
Arxax enables the green transition in road transport by using data to optimise clean fuel access, reduce emissions and digitise refuelling for heavy-duty fleets.
The project will accelerate the adoption of clean fuels, reduce CO2 emissions and enable data-driven, scalable green refuelling across European heavy-duty transport networks.
