The Smart Country Convention 2025 (SCCON) is an annual event focused on the digitalisation of public organisations, covering various topics such as mobility, and bringing together Germany’s top digital policymakers, local authorities, and relevant international actors. SCCON focuses on the future of digital administration and the access to equal digital living and working conditions in cities and rural areas.
EIT Urban Mobility will actively participate in the event, organising a session on Thursday 2 October morning under the title “Connected, clean and smart: Scaling digital mobility for sustainable cities”.
The session will spotlight how intelligent transport systems (ITS), real-time data applications and digital innovation are enabling smarter, safer and more sustainable mobility solutions in our cities. Through a high-level panel and interactive presentations, participants will gain insights from project leaders, policy makers and city mobility managers to explore how digital tools are reshaping mobility ecosystems across Europe —from predictive accident prevention and AI-driven traffic flow optimisation to integrated e-mobility platforms and citizen-focused digital mobility services.
The session will present case studies of scalable solutions supported by EIT Urban Mobility, including Graz’s implementation of Mapular’s Smart Accident Prevention System; Helsingborg’s cycling culture boosted with behavioural science provided by Nudgd or TU Berlin’s capacity-building on digitalising mobility. Attendees will discover how digital solutions can not only reduce congestion and emissions but also improve public transport, safety and citizen engagement.
