How can cities shift people to more sustainable transport?
One of the most challenging questions facing city administrators, not just in Europe but across the world, is how to manage the number of vehicles coming into urban spaces. There are numerous factors at play, ranging from human health and pedestrian safety to economic factors and simple traffic jams. So, how do you approach it? How do you get people out of their vehicles and convince them to take another mode of transport? Those are the questions the environment and transport journalist Sam Morgan is trying to answer to in this video.
There is a mistake in the video at 00:36 : air pollution causes an estimated 400,000 deaths every year in Europe, according to the European Environment Agency's (EEA) latest official data. https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_20_2168
