Request for proposals: strategic communications, media and public relations in Spain

EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub South, hereinafter referred to as “IH South”, operates in the south of Europe, being responsible for activity and market development in Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Bosnia, and Albania.

IH South wishes to identify a supplier for the provision of Public Relations, Public Affairs and Media Relations Consultancy Services to support the achievement of the strategic objectives related to urban mobility in Spain.

The overall media communication objectives of EIT Urban Mobility are:

(i) Raising awareness of the need for more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative urban mobility in Europe.

(ii) Brand reputation: Placing EIT Urban Mobility as THE reference on urban mobility.

(iii) Leads: Strengthen relationships and increase the visibility of EIT Urban Mobility and its projects among new stakeholders.

The main key target audiences of EIT Urban Mobility are, among others:

  • Cities, regions, governments, Ministers, civil servants, etc.
  • Institutional and European networks: European Union bodies and international organisations.
  • Opinion leaders: Think Tanks, universities, researchers, experts, policy analysts.
  • Lobby and civil society organisations.
  • Private sector: industries in the mobility, transport, energy, and environment sectors. (big – medium corporates)

End users and citizens.

EIT Urban Mobility has developed several on-the-ground projects, has a strong partnership with several cities and government bodies in the transport sector, and has supported several Spanish start-ups in the last five years of activities. The selected supplier will be able to provide strategic counsel and direction to strengthen the relations, actively share and promote our message to the right stakeholders, amplify our successes when the results of projects are coming in, and help position the entity in Spain. The selected provider will be responsible for developing and supporting EIT Urban Mobility’s public relations and media efforts to maximise communications efforts. The agency must be able to provide strong media and PR strategic insight and message development to assist EIT Urban Mobility with proactive campaigns and reactive approaches.
